How to train Jasper Studio to understand a 1040

Lets create a new Project and add some training data to this project. Make sure to select 'Banking' as your project type.

🧙‍♂️ If you don't the Project Type option in your instance , ' Banking' is the default type.

Start uploading your training data by choosing the right form/document type

Jasper comes with a default model for extracting key fields from a 1040. You will see a subset of fields already annotated and extracted as the document is loaded in the annotation interface

Using the 'Selector' tool , mark the fields of interest. Give the field a name and Click 'Save'

Once all the fields are labelled. Click 'Train' from the document listing page.

Based on the type of the document Jasper will pick the right pipeline for training the machine learning model. Chose the document type you want to train on

Depending on the training data volume and labels, the training time will vary from couple of minutes to hours. Once the training is complete , the project status will change to 'Trained' , indicating the model is ready to use. 👏

Publish the model
